ADA Awareness Training for Faculty and Instructors

Providing courses that are accessible to individuals with disabilities is the law, but it's also something more: it's giving everyone equal opportunity to experience a quality education here at IU. Making a course accessible does sometimes mean that you have do things somewhat differently, but you don't have to do it alone. Every campus at IU has a support network of trained professionals that help you and your colleagues ensure access to all students.

The purpose of ADA Awareness Training is help you become familiar with the roles and responsibilities of the teams that help you make courses accessible and your responsibility in the process.

ADA Awareness Training is highly recommended for all faculty and instructors.  The ADA Awareness course is available for self-enrollment through IU Expand.   An ADA awareness course for IUPUI is also available.

Anyone at Indiana University developing and/or teaching an online course, is encouraged to take the Teaching Online Series: Designing and Teaching for Impact in Online Courses.
